SoCal Subie Meet and Drive Sunday December 20th, 2009

Sunday December 20th, 2009 marks the last Southern California Subaru Meet and Drive of 2009! So I put together a great route that will take us into some of the most challenging roads around. Not to mention some of the best views around with plenty of spots to stop for group photos. With that in mind, I invited two amazing photographers with some really hi-tech cameras to hang out during the meet to snap some pictures of our line up at HQ, as well as cruise on ahead of us to set up for some great motion shots in and around the canyons. So make sure your flossin. Time to bust out your Mothers or Meguiars and get your wax on!

As always, route maps will be given out at the meet, bring your video and digital cameras (we need all the footage we can get!). And please don’t forget to come to the meet with a full tank of gas.

November 15, 2009 Recap

Thanks to everybody who made it out. The drive was short but fun. We stopped off along the water in Long Beach for a few pictures, then headed to K1 in Torrance. Eight of us stayed around for the karting battle. We had practice and qualifying sessions before the final race.

I think for the most part we finished in the positions that we qualified. Eddie (me) finished first, followed by Mike (subietech) then Rick. It was competitive and lots of fun. I’m sure we’ll be doing more karting battles in the future but next month (December) we’re planning a canyon drive.

It’s been a while since we have had a track day, so for the Socal Subie Meet and Drive this month, we will be cruising to K1 Speed in Torrance for a little fun on the tarmac. K1speed has been kind enough to offer us a special price of $50 for a 3 race GP. So if you have been looking for an excuse to go, now is your chance.

Thanks for visiting the site. We’re excited about the launch of the new site design. The site will be regularly updated with information about the upcoming monthly drives as well as recaps of past drives. Feel free to leave comments on any of our posts.

This month we have put together what we consider to be the best in California Canyon Driving. And although it is only 40 miles away, the actual canyon dive is over 60 miles long. With some of the most intense and technical canyon roads in the state. It is sure to become an all time favorite.
